This is an add-on. It upgrades the chain on a piece you are already buying, and cannot be bought on its own.
Every chain we make comes on a stainless steel core as standard, with your chosen finish plated over it. Steel is the stronger metal by some distance: it will not stretch, kink or pull open at a snag, it never tarnishes, and it is happy in the shower and the sea.
This upgrade replaces that core with solid 925 sterling silver — the same metal your pendant is made from on our premium finishes. The plating on top does not change, so the chain looks exactly as it did; what changes is what is underneath it.

Worth knowing

Silver is a softer metal than steel. It can stretch or part at a hard snag, so if the piece is for a child or will never come off, stainless steel is the tougher choice.
Sterling silver tarnishes with air, perfume and sweat. An occasional polish brings it back.
