On the Inspiration List｜Clonakilty Blended Irish Whiskey Cask Finish Series｜ Other Products

Clonakilty Blended Irish Whiskey Cask Finish Series comes from Clonakilty Distillery in West Cork, a family-run operation where the Scully family grows barley on their coastal farm and matures whiskey in an Atlantic-side warehouse. The Cask Finish Series takes the distillery's blend of grain and malt whiskeys and gives it a secondary maturation in a selected wine or spirit cask, bottled at 43.6% ABV (87.2 proof). The base whiskey is smooth and mellow with honey, vanilla and toasted oak; the finishing cask layers on dried fruit, spice and extra richness. Each cask release differs slightly, so the bottle you receive reflects one particular finish. Sip it neat to appreciate the cask, or pour it over a large cube. This 750ml bottle is a good pick for drinkers who enjoy exploring how different casks shape Irish whiskey.
