Easy to Store｜Ageratum Timeless Mix｜ Other Products

Forget the short, squat bedding plants you see in municipal parks; 'Timeless Mix' is a totally different beast. This variety has been bred specifically for florists, producing tall, strong, upright stems topped with clusters of fuzzy, button-like flowers.
Known as the "Floss Flower" because of its silky texture, this mix offers a calming palette of powder blue, soft pink, violet, and white. It is the ultimate "blender" plant, knitting together unmatched colours in a bouquet and adding a soft, cloud-like volume that makes any arrangement look fuller and more professional.

Understanding the Plant

Ageratum is a Half-Hardy Annual.
It originates from Central America and loves warmth. The 'Timeless' series is a modern breeding breakthrough. Unlike older varieties that shed petals (shatter) as they age, 'Timeless' flowers hold onto the stem for ages, giving it an incredible vase life.
The "Pollinator Landing Pad": The fuzzy texture isn't just for show; it provides an excellent grip for butterflies and bees, making this a top choice for wildlife gardens.

Growing Guide: How to Sow and Grow

Ageratum seeds need light to wake up—don't bury them!
Germination:Sow indoors from February to April. Surface sow onto moist compost and do not cover (or use a barely-there dusting of vermiculite). Keep warm (20-22°C). Germination takes 7-10 days.
Where to Sow:Plant out after the last frost. They love **full sun** and rich, moisture-retentive soil. They will wilt quickly in dry, sandy soil, so mulch well.
Care While Growing:Pinch: When plants are 15cm tall, pinch out the central growing tip. This sacrifices the first flower but encourages long, straight side branches that are perfect for cutting.

Perfect Garden Companions

The soft texture of Ageratum is the perfect foil for "hard" or spiky flowers:

Zinnias: The Pop of Colour. Zinnias have bold, solid petals. Placing them next to the fuzzy clouds of Ageratum creates a stunning contrast of texture.

Panicum 'Frosted Explosion': The Meadow Look. Mixing Ageratum with ornamental grasses creates a soft, hazy, impressionist planting scheme that moves beautifully in the wind.

⚠️ Vase Life TipAgeratum stems can sometimes be "thirsty" and prone to wilting. Condition them by placing the stems in deep, tepid water for a few hours before arranging. This ensures they stay fluffy and upright for 7+ days.
