Mr. K: Funk Box Edits Vinyl 5x7" Boxset｜ Other Products

A whole lotta funk for your trunk. It's no big secret that Danny Krivit has a thing for funk music. The inclusion of all things funky in his DJ sets has become something of a signature, and has, according to Most Excellent Unlimited, "allowed his style to survive and thrive." The Funk Box Edits taps into this funky flavor with 10 surefire edits from the man himself, spread across five 45's. Mr. K is a true master (and pioneer) of the edit, always displaying an uncanny ability to highlight the best, most potent, parts of a track. This talent goes to great effect here, with choice selections from Foster Sylvers, Fatback Band, Black Heat, Kool & The Gang, The Counts, and more, receiving the full Krivit treatment. MEU puts it best - "From sultry mood-setters to breakbeat headnodders to bouncy proto-disco, Krivit has laid out a powerful palette that stands as both a treasure trove of digger's delights and a collection of perfect party-starters." Comes in a bespoke box with two custom 7" slipmats. Recommended.
