The Biodrier Biobot HD-BB08 hand dryer is specifically designed to encourage young children to wash and dry their hands properly. Thorough hand drying is vitally important in hand hygiene and hand dryers help to preserve the environment by reducing waste and associated carbon emissions, so we think it’s a great idea to get our young children keen on hand dryers
The Biodrier Biobot Hand Dryer is visually appealing and fun for kids to use, however it is more than just a nice child friendly hand dryer, it also boasts excellent, energy efficient performance. The Biodrier Biobot comes with a free, colourful, splash-back board to mount the hand dryer too.
Biodrier state that Biobot HD-BB08 consumes just 10% of the energy used by a conventional hand dryer and has a whopping 98.5% saving over paper towels.
By teaching children the benefits of using energy efficient products they will help reduce our carbon footprint, which will provide a better environment for their future and the generations to come.
Why is the Biodrier Biobot an Energy Efficient Hand Dryer?
Energy efficiency is a simple calculation between the dry speed and rated power. Conventional warm air hand dryers typically use a low powered (0.24-0.3kw) motor and a high energy consumption (1.8 to 2kw) heater element; they have a rated power over 2kw with 30 second plus dry times. The Biodrier Biobot has a high powered 0.65kw motor and a highly energy efficient heater element 0.25kw, the combination leads to a 75 to 85% energy and cost saving.
Is the Biodrier Biobot HD-BB08 a High Speed Hand Dryer?
Yes, it has a compressed airflow that travels at 64m/s. Not as fast as some but 2-3 times the airspeed of a conventional warm air hand dryer. We predict a realistic sub 20 second dry time.
How Quiet is the Biodrier Biobot Hand Dryer?
Manufacturer’s specification states 76 dBA based on noise chamber tests. Although we have not tested this unit in situ (with surfaces that amplify noise) it is clear that this will measure above 76 dBA in a realistic environment, having said that it is certainly quieter than many high speed hand dryers. However, there is an alternative hand dryer suitable for young children, Puff the Magic Dryer and a full section of quiet hand dryers suitable for children here.
