Batch 25B is the classic-profile Stagg — 126.9 proof, the twenty-eighth release — and Breaking Bourbon calls it a more classic expression that stays true to the brand and an easy recommendation at the right price. Stagg is Buffalo Trace's uncut, unfiltered barrel-proof bourbon from the low-rye Mashbill #1 — the same recipe as George T. Stagg, aged around seven to nine years instead of fifteen — launched as Stagg Jr. in 2013 and renamed Stagg in 2022; batches are lettered by year and release, and each is a different proof. 25B is bottled at 126.9 proof. Breaking Bourbon: charred oak, molasses, leather, cocoa powder, and Merlot on the nose; cold-brew coffee, black cherry, cinnamon stick, and black pepper on the palate; and a finish of dry oak, aged leather, vanilla extract, dark brown sugar, and mixed dark berries — the fruit secondary, the oak and spice leading. Expect the Stagg signature — dark, dense, sweet-and-charred — in its most textbook form. Honest note: after twenty-eight batches Stagg is still the most consistent barrel-proof bourbon in Kentucky, and 25B is the one to hand a first-timer — allocated, and the reason people line up at Buffalo Trace releases. Neat, a drop of water, time. Stagg, 25B.Buy Stagg Barrel Proof Bourbon Whiskey 25B online with fast shipping right to your door.
