Product Description
MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Gen 27,000 BTU 2-Zone Mini Split System – 23 SEER2 – 6K + 18K Air Handlers – DIYM227HPW01D07
Product Overview
The MRCOOL® DIYM227HPW01D07 is a powerful and energy-efficient 27,000 BTU 2-zone ductless mini split system designed for homeowners who want professional-quality comfort without the high cost of professional HVAC installation. Built around the advanced MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Generation Multi-Zone platform, this system combines smart heating and cooling, inverter-driven efficiency, true DIY installation, and independent room temperature control into one complete ductless HVAC solution.
This bundle pairs the MRCOOL® DIY-MULTI4-27HP230D-O outdoor condenser with one 6,000 BTU wall-mounted air handler and one 18,000 BTU wall-mounted air handler, making it ideal for conditioning both small and large rooms from a single outdoor unit. The 6K air handler works perfectly for bedrooms, nurseries, offices, guest rooms, or smaller spaces up to 200 square feet, while the larger 18K air handler is built for bigger areas up to 800 square feet such as living rooms, garages, workshops, open-concept spaces, apartments, bonus rooms, finished basements, and master suites.
Unlike traditional mini split systems that require licensed HVAC contractors, vacuum pumps, refrigerant charging, and specialized tools, the MRCOOL® DIY® system is engineered specifically for homeowners. The included 25 ft DIY® QuickConnect® pre-charged line sets come factory-filled with R-454B refrigerant and are ready to connect out of the box. No vacuuming. No gauges. No refrigerant handling required.
This bundle is especially useful for installations where the indoor units are farther from the outdoor condenser, thanks to the included longer 25-foot line sets.
With up to 23 SEER2 cooling efficiency and 9.5 HSPF2-4 heating performance, this system helps reduce energy costs while delivering quiet, reliable year-round comfort. The DC inverter compressor automatically adjusts output based on demand, helping maintain more stable indoor temperatures with less energy usage compared to traditional HVAC systems, window units, or electric baseboard heat.
The MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Generation system also features built-in smart control compatibility through the MRCOOL® SmartHVAC app, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant, allowing you to adjust temperatures, modes, and schedules directly from your smartphone or by voice command.
This condenser supports up to 4 indoor zones total, but this bundle currently uses only 2 zones, leaving room for future expansion if additional indoor units are needed later.
If you want high-efficiency ductless heating and cooling with DIY installation and flexible room coverage, the MRCOOL® DIYM227HPW01D07 is one of the best multi-zone mini split systems available today.
