Aviation American Gin Deadpool Edition｜ Other Products

Ryan Reynolds owns the Deadpool character on screen and fronts Aviation Gin off it, so this bottle was inevitable — a limited edition released for Marvel Studios' Deadpool & Wolverine, designed by Reynolds' own agency Maximum Effort with Sandstrom Partners. The bottle is sleek black glass with red custom strip stamps, metallic detailing, and one of six Deadpool icons, so every bottle is a slightly different collector's piece. The gin inside is Aviation American Gin, unchanged: the Portland, Oregon original created in 2006 by Christian Krogstad and bartender Ryan Magarian that defined the New Western style, built on seven botanicals — juniper, cardamom, coriander, French lavender, anise seed, Indian sarsaparilla, and two kinds of orange peel — macerated 18 hours and distilled in a single batch, bottled at 42% ABV. Wine Enthusiast scored the standard bottling 97 points. Expect a soft, floral, spiced profile: juniper stepping back for lavender, cardamom, and root-beer-like sarsaparilla, with orange peel and anise on a long, warm finish. Honest note, straight from Total Wine reviewers: it's the same gin at the same price in a different bottle, with no box or extras — buy it for the label, not for a new liquid. Which, for the right person, is exactly the point. A gift for the Marvel fan, a bar-cart centerpiece, and the base of a genuinely good Aviation cocktail.
